You may be wondering…

You have to visit Italy at least once in your life. And rest assured, after visiting here once you will definitely be back. Because Italy has it all, and we’re not boasting or anything, but it’s true.

From the lovely people, the beautiful landscapes, the food and drinks (and wine!), the culture, the museums… You name it, we’re bound to have it. It is the place that keeps on giving, trust us.

With over 3800 museums to pick from and with most of these being world-class, you will be spoilt for choice. Are you looking for modern art? Tick. Is it Renaissance you are big on? Tick.

The Uffizi in Florence, the Archeological Museum of Naples, the Pinacoteca di Brera, but also the Egyptian Museum in Turin and the Peggy Guggenheim in Venice, just to name a few.

With Rome holding the highest number of them (over 900!), you can visit as many as 20000 churches across Italy. And the actual number is actually ranging closer to 65000 churches! That’s mental – but they also happen to be beautiful buildings!

Italy will satisfy all your nature cravings in one go. Home to the three most active volcanoes in Europe, and about 7500km of coastline, but also 40% of its territory being mountains.

We also have more than 1000 lakes – with the biggest one being Lake Garda – about 1200 rivers and just enough stuff to cover all of the main interests of about everyone in your family.

The university of Bologna is the oldest one in Italy, and it was founded in 1088. It has been open since the day it was founded and happens to be the world’s oldest university in continuous operation.

With Bologna also being the home to tortellini, the Amaro Montenegro and Mortadella, definitely worth a visit I think.

Once again, Rome has to win this one. With all the architecture, the ancient Rome stuff and overall being the eternal city everyone seems to love, we are most definitely not surprised.

Are you surprised? So much to do, so much to see, so much to eat and drink too!

20 BEST SQUARES IN ROME TO CHECK OUT

Because while Rome is also housing over 900 churches alone, the eternal city also happens to be home to over 2000 piazzas, your average square count everywhere else it’s not even close to half this amount! So which ones are the best ones and why you can’t miss out on them, in one post.
